Calling all extreme aviators!

Strap yourself in to an ex-Russian military warbird for a flight experience of a different kind above the skies of Bundaberg in Central Queensland.

Xtreme Aviation is now offering adrenalin junkies and flight enthusiasts joy flights and advanced aviation training in a YAK 52 aircraft. Built in 1984, the aircraft was originally used by Soviet pilots for military flight training, however it was then abandoned in a field for two decades before being discovered and subsequently restored by an Australian aviation enthusiast. Today the plane is back in action, and is based at the Bundaberg Airport. Xtreme Aviation offers a range of joy flights in the aircraft at mild, moderate and xtreme intensities and at 15, 30 or 45 minute flight durations. A mild flight does not include any aerobatics other than some steep turns and wingovers, while a moderate experience includes some aerobatics such as loops, rolls and inverted flying. For the ultimate heart-pumping adventure, the xtreme flight takes passengers on a sequence of spins, loops, rolls, stalls, inverted flight and vertical rolls. All flight packages require approximately 30 minutes of briefing and preparation time, kitting out and photographs. Prices range from $215 to $595.
