An exciting new jet boat ride and a Tandem Skydive operation are thrilling visitors to the Gold Coast.
Hel-a-va Jet boats depart from under the Outrigger Twin Town Resort seven days a week, weather permitting, cruising out of the Tweed River into the open ocean between Point Danger and Coolangatta. The 40 minute ride incorporates a 15 minute adrenalin-fuelled, high velocity jet boat blast. The boat is designed for extreme performance in open seas and seats 12 passengers in a fully-enclosed cabin. Hel-a-va Jet boats also run whale watching cruises between June and November. www.helavatweedheads.com.au Meanwhile, Gold Coast Skydive has also opened in the area and is the only Tandem Skydive Operation in the world operating beside an International Airport. It is also the first company allowed to land on a Gold Coast beach. The flight takes off from the same runway as the passenger jets at the Gold Coast International Airport and then climbs to 4000m where the jumpers exit for their skydive, landing on popular Kirra Beach. www.goldcoastskydive.com.au
