Hop into Gladstone this Easter

Festival fever will hit the Central Queensland city of Gladstone this Easter with the annual Harbour Festival and Coconet Classic both promising to be bigger than ever this year.

The week-long Gladstone Harbour Festival runs from April 5 – 12 and culminates with the celebrations for the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race winners. Themed street parties, fireworks displays, music performances and many family fun events are just some of the highlights. www.gladstonefestival.com/harbour_festival.htm

Across town, Australia’s best kite boarders, BMX riders and skateboarders will be mixing with the likes of The Living End, Spider Bait, and Dukes of Windsor for The Coconet Classic. From April 8 to 12, the beachside suburbs of Tannum Sands and Boyne Island will combine extreme sports championships with live and local music, beach markets, rides, food stalls and artist displays for five days of fun. coconetclassic.net.au/
