Brisbane’s iconic Chinatown Mall, located between Ann Street and Wickham Terrace, Fortitude Valley has reopened following an $AUD8 million redevelopment.
The design was developed with the assistance of architects from Brisbane’s sister city, Shenzhen, China in consultation with local designers Urbis. The new community space includes a mix of existing cultural artwork and new modern structures including a large red and gold shade structure over the centre of the Mall, a modern adaptation of traditional Chinese lattice works and a water feature running from the Ann Street end of the mall to a landscaped pond. www.visitbrisbane.com.au
