Haven for koalas at Couran Cove Island Resort

  
 

Couran Cove Island Resort on South Stradbroke Island has expanded its visitor experiences with opening of a new koala enclosure.

The enclosure opened with two young koalas in residence and another two are due to arrive shortly. It is located amongst the gum trees, the koalas only food source. Guests can join a tour of the enclosure and learn all about these remarkable animals in a 45-60 minute session limited to a maximum of 25 people. The resort’s wildlife manager, Naomi Andrew, has more than 12 years experience in handling and caring for Koalas. Couran Cove is a 40 minute ferry ride from the Gold Coast. www.couran.com
