Australian Muster Experience

A rambling 19th century inspired Outback station building and stockyards with stunning views are the setting for the Australian Muster Experience scheduled to open north of Port Douglas in May.

The purpose-built facility offers guests a choice of two experiences at the authentic representation of an historic working cattle station. Located in a rainforest framed valley, the experience comes alive to the sound of thundering hooves, cracking stock whips and working horses as a bustling mob of cattle is mustered and corralled. The Stockman’s Lunch and Muster includes whip cracking and horsemanship displays by real Aussie stockmen, working cattle dogs and other station animals and a tasty barbecue lunch. Guests at the evening Grand Outback Experience enjoy the same show and tasty meals plus also try their skills on a mechanical bull. The venue caters for 300 banquet-style or 600 for cocktails in a large undercover outdoor facility. A licensed bar is available. Package deals include return transfers, meal, show and entertainment. www.australianmusterexperience.com
