Queensland has one tropical island which has the usual beautiful beaches, great food and kids’ club – plus there’s also a circus school on Club Med Lindeman Island.
It's hard to believe there's a circus school in this 700 hectares of World Heritage National Park, but that's what you will find on Lindeman. Modelled on Club Med's Sandpiper Village in Florida, the flying trapeze/circus school offers guests of all ages the chance to participate in an activity unlike any other. The trapeze is 10 metres above ground. Those as young as four can have a go at swinging back and forth and, with increasing confidence, do catches with other trapeze artists. Club Med Lindeman Island has 218 rooms, all overlooking the beautiful Whitsunday passage. There are dozens of activities for guests to choose from including day cruises to the Great Barrier Reef, seaplane and helicopter flights, a hilltop golf course, sunset cruises, jet skis, fishing, tennis, windsurfing, archery, beach volleyball, water polo, kayaking, basketball, sailing, snorkelling and scuba diving. www.clubmed.com.au
